Your Journey in 2020
We all are now familiar we the word lockdown, no one could’ve ever imagined seeing a day like this in their life, where we’ve been asked to isolate ourselves in our home to stay safe from a dangerous disease known as the Covid-19 virus. Whenever we used to switch on the news channel, there it was the virus showing its extreme vulnerability day after day all around the globe and damaging everyone physically as well as mentally. 2020 was challenging for all of us, everyone’s journey might be different and the ways to tackle must be different but the only thing which we had in common was HOPE.
2020 journey completely changed my life, staying inside our home and doing nothing feels a bit relaxing but not if you are told to do this every day for a whole year. The year 2020 had hit everyone differently the anxiety of when the lockdown is going to over? when will the virus be gone? will we ever go back to our normal life? what about work? in times when the standard of living of the people had changed completely, we still had to adapt to the current situation and get adjusted according to it. Yes, it was difficult sitting at home and having multiple thoughts inside your head which can’t be neglected to pay attention to but you got to do when it comes to the safety of your family and loved ones.
During this Lockdown, I’ve realized that there are many things you can do during these times which you have also thought about doing but could never implement because of the prior schedule which you had when you used to go to work. So, I decided to make a list of things which I have also wanted to do but I couldn’t and believe me once I started making the list they were many things which got covered in that from upgrading skills to learning new languages and also I had a guitar which I had bought but never took the time out to learn how to play, so it had to be on the list. In this time, I tried to stay positive by meditating and controlling the anxiety and letting the divine forces around me help me make the best out of this situation.
Spending time with my family was one of the best times for them all on the list. Getting up early in the morning to eat breakfast together was something unusual because we never used to eat even dinner together. Long discussion, quarrels, and having late-night dinner was fun, sharing our thoughts with each other on life and other various things made us realize the importance of guidance and direction to find our path. Reading books gathering information and learning values of gratitude are some of the most important things I have learned and adapted from this time span.
The thoughts of lockdown started with the negative thought in our mind which used to disturb us mentally every day but when we started seeing the positive side of it we know that this time will never come so why not use it to the fullest and have no complaints or whatsoever let the journey passes away with everyone being healthy and happy with no unwanted thoughts making us feel insecure about it.
